Schauffer Studio Art Glass Offhand Vase-Richard L. Stauffer-Teal Copper Silver

Schauffer Studio Art glass Free Form or Offhand Vase, made by Richard L. Stauffer, probably in the 1970's, Teal Blue with what looks like Copper and Silver and then there is a Ash White looking color added in. Looks like he used a pick to scratch line all over it.

Vase in a free shape meaning he used no molds to make it. Very hard to explain this one not sure how he accomplished some of this. It something that would take a long time to learn how to with all this on one piece. Measures 6 1/4" high and 6 1/4" wide no damage.

Stauffer was born in New Cambria on April 1, 1932. He was a graduate of Kansas State Teachers College, Emporia and the Univ.

Army before teaching in the Emporia Public Schools. Joined the Emporia State Univ. Member: Kansas Art Education Assoc; Kansas Artist-Craftsman Assoc; Kansas Sculptors Assoc.
