Large Murano (Italy) Mezza Filigrana HandBlown Blue, Green Purple White Ribbon Swirled Stripes Art Glass Vase, Made by (I believe)Dino Martens. This vase is made in the Mezza Filigrana style. For the style (which was first created, in Murano, around the 16th Century), a series of glass rods are (first) fused at the center. A design of "caned stripes, with a spiral effect" is (then) created, when the glass is blown/inflated, twisted, and shaped. This vase has clear white glass, with opaque white, blue, green and purple canes that form parallel and diagonal stripes.

The glass on this vase is relatively thick. At this price, this Blown Art Glass Swirl Vase might well be the best value on the internet.

The vase is clearly a quality piece of glass art. The 14 inch high heavy glass vase is a striking blue, green and purple with white ribbon striping. Condition is excellent used and obviously lovingly cared for by its previous owner. This is a vintage piece and has some scratches on bottom.
